Our Team

Doug Witty
Director/Project Manager

Doug started his role as an apprentice electrician in 1988 for South West Slopes County Council in Harden country NSW. From this point Doug has worked in high rise commercial electrical work in Sydney CBD, hospitals, aged Care, residential, retail and education projects. For several year Doug worked as a services coordinator for Westfield design and constructions which took him from Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Auckland, New Zealand. Still with an appetite for more Doug worked as a site engineer for a well reputed electrical engineering company in Sydney for four years. With more to explore Doug was offered a position with Ron Bateman Electrical in 2004 as a project manager. 5 years later in 2009 Doug partnered together with David McCann to take over the business from Ron Bateman. Doug in his spare time enjoys, boating, fishing, cycling and generally anything involved with the outdoors.

Dave McCann
Director/Project Manager

Dave joined Ron Bateman Electrical as a 1st year apprentice in 1997. At the interview when asked by Ron “Where do you see your future within the company?” Dave’s response was “Sitting in your seat”. 20 years later and that is exactly where he is. Dave worked from apprentice to tradesman, foreman, estimator and now a Director project manager. Working with RB Electrical & Communication has given Dave a wealth of experience working all facets of the electrical industry. Dave is a strong believer in work life balance dedicating his time to his family and his other love in life football. A keen sportsman and follower of all different sports, Dave does not discriminate with his, and just as with work he gives 100% to everything.

Guy Rama

Guy Started with RBE as a 1st year apprentice in 2002 and has grown within the company to now look after the company’s service department and small works. Guy is a passionate electrician that has pride in delivering our electrical works to a 1st class standard, on time, exceeding our clients’ expectations. Guy has strong family connections and is a sought-after musician, often playing at cultural events throughout Australia and Internationally. When Guy is not playing an instrument, he spends time with his family and learning new activities, both sporting and academically.

Belinda Desbruslais
Office Manager and Bookkeeper

Our office manager efficiently and tirelessly keeps the behind the scenes gears of RB Electrical & Communications churning away. Belinda enjoys traveling, family and the finer things in life. Belinda joined RB Electrical & Communications in 2013.

Scott Hunt
HSEQ Coordinator

Scott started with RBE in 1992 as a licensed electrician working his way within the company to senior site foreman. As the company has grown and the 30 plus years of experience Scott held it was decided that his experience would best be served  assisting our young workforce broadly across the company as a safety and quality mentor. Scott has completed his cert IV in occupational health and safety along with the required post trade training to best assist in HSEQ management within RBE. Scott assists with the development of SWMS, site safety, quality and management plans and the implementation on site.
Outside of work Scott enjoys time with family and friends. Scott is an Avian enthusiast, breeding and tending to native birds and is an advocate to animal welfare. Scott also enjoys restoring vintage cars and is in the final stages of restoring a vintage Holden.

James Thomas
Project Manager

James started his apprenticeship with RBE in 2014, successfully completing his trade in 2018. James worked interstate for the redevelopment of the Air NZ lounge in the final stages of his apprenticeship where he excelled and showed leadership within RBE. James was provided growing responsibility running small projects and leading jobs. To satisfy an itch James left RBE to pursue a career with NSW police. Whilst James loved working with the police he found that his background as an electrician was where he could see his career path and rejoined RBE in early 2024 as a project manager. James now is managing small projects to multi million dollar projects at Sydney Airport.

When not a work James enjoys living a heathy lifestyle spending time with friends, outdoors and the local Gym.

Dylan Nolan

Dylan started as an apprentice electrician in Waterford, Ireland in 2016. In 2019 Dylan came to Australia on a holiday and new this is where he could see his future. Dylan had undertaken various electrical roles including FIFO work in the Pilbara where he had the opportunity of operating at D10 Dozer. Dylan wanting to progress his career took on a role entering Myflo data for RBE and then progressed through to estimating.
Dylan is a keen traveller, one of the highlights undertaking a Safari in Kenya. Dylan is a keen fisherman and a Guinness lover. Careful not to combine fishing and Guinness at the same time.
